First sale!! “Rusty Barn”
We had a fabulous weekend to paint in our dear friend’s memory , Mr. Gene Chestnut, at his farm outside Newnan. Such talented artists, delicious food, charming stories, a blessed family and inspirational landscape. Little Gena, the abandoned heifer, stole all our hearts.

I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Newnan painting outdoors at Mr Chestnuts farm with a lot of great artists. The invitational paintout was arranged by Millie Gosch and Elsa Sibley. The sale proceeds ($4500) of donated artworks will benefit learning impaired children in the Newnan public schools. My painting “Rusty Barn” sold for $200!! We all hope this will be an annual event and are very grateful to the generous Chestnut family for making this possible.
  I spent a great week in North Georgia with fellow artists and family.  The lovely countryside along the backroads near Ellijay was inspirational.
